We've made a series of films to deter would-be offenders and to make it clear that Stop It Now! can help them stop accessing abusive images of children. Our major public awareness campaign aimed at tackling online viewing and sharing of sexual images of children. The campaign aims to deter people from accessing online indecent images of children by:
- clarifying the law which states that viewing sexual images of anyone under 18 is a serious crime.
- highlighting the real harm caused to the children who appear in these images.
- explaining the serious consequences for those who continue to view sexual images of children.
- directing people who look at such images to confidential and anonymous help to stop accessing these images.
